Chipotle, Honey & Lime Elgin Free Range Chickens’ Wings
These are finger-licking fabulous!
YOU WILL NEED
700g Elgin Free Range Chickens’ Wings, thawed, 2 tsp Cape Herb & Spice Chipotle Chilli, 1½ tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt. For the glaze: 1 tsp Cape Herb & Spice Chipotle Chilli, 2 Tbsp honey, ½ lime (zest and juice), fresh coriander and sliced spring onion for garnish
METHOD Toss Elgin Free Range Chickens’ Cocktail Wings with Cape Herb & Spice Chipotle Chilli, baking powder and salt. Set the Instant Vortex Air Fryer™ to 202°, for 25 minutes on Air Fry. On ‘Add Food’ prompt, place the wings in an even layer in the fryer basket, then cook until golden and crisp, shaking halfway through. While the wings cook, combine spices, honey, lime zest and juice, microwave on high for 30 seconds. Toss cooked wings with the glaze, garnish with sliced spring onion and fresh coriander and serve with wedges of fresh lime. Conventional oven: Roast wings in an ovenproof dish at 200° for 15 minutes, shaking once.
Tip: For optimal extra crispy results, place the wings, uncovered, in the fridge on a cooling rack for 8 – 24 hours, to dry out before cooking.
